APPEARANCES AT 2010 MAGIC CONVENTIONS


Michael performed at two magic conventions in 2010! In July, at the Society of American Magicians (SAM) National Convention in Atlanta, GA, he performed his "4M" comedy music routine in the Saturday night gala show ("Great American Magic Convention Spectacular"). In September, Michael was the M.C. for the Friday night Stage Contest at the Texas Association of Magicians (TAOM) Convention in Austin, TX.

Michael was honored to perform at two magic conventions in 2009! In August, at the Magicians' Alliance of Eastern States (MAES) Convention in Carlisle, PA, he performed his award-winning "4M" comedy music routine in the Friday night stage show. He also performed his award-winning "Duo Cups & Balls" routine in the professional close-up show Friday morning! In September, Michael performed his "4M" routine in the Friday evening stage show at the Texas Association of Magicians (TAOM) Convention in Houston, Texas! On Saturday evening he performed strolling/walk-around close-up magic, and on Monday morning he performed his "Duo Cups & Balls" routine at the Bill Palmer Cups & Balls Lecture/Museum.

MICHAEL TALLON WINS TWO NATIONAL AWARDS !!

In July 2009, Michael was one of only nine acts selected to compete in the prestigious S.A.M. Stage Contest of Magic. Performing his "4M" routine, Michael walked away with two awards: the rarely-awarded Seabrooke Red Seal Comedy Award (Michael is only the fifth person in the history of the S.A.M. to win this award!) and the Brad Jacob's People's Choice Award (voted on by the 500 members of the audience)!!

SAM AUSTIN ASSEMBLY 206 CONTEST WINNER!!

In June 2009, Michael was one of only eight acts selected to compete in the 2009 Austin Magic Contest, held at the KLRU Studios - better known as the world-famous Austin City Limits! Michael performed his "4M" comedy routine and won second place in the contest!

2008 TAOM COMEDY CONTEST WINNER!!


At the 2008 Texas Association of Magicians (TAOM) Convention held in Fort Worth, Texas, over the Labor Day weekend, Michael performed his new "4M" comedy routine and won first place in the comedy contest!

MICHAEL TALLON A FINALIST IN THE CLOSE-UP CONTEST AT THE
I.B.M./S.A.M. COMBINED CONVENTION IN LOUISVILLE, KY!!


In the summer of 2008, for the first time in 35 years, the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) and the Society of American Magicians (SAM) held a Combined Convention – billed as "The Spectacular Event the Magic World Has Been Waiting For!" – in Louisville, Kentucky.  Approximately 1,500 magicians from all over the world attended the convention and the highlight for many was the two magic competitions:  one for stage magic and one for close-up magic.  Entry into the competitions was limited and determined by a panel of professional magicians.


There were only 42 acts in the stage contest and only 24 acts in the close-up contest.  Michael Tallon was a contestant in BOTH the stage competition and the close-up competition!  In the stage contest, Michael performed his new "4M" comedy music routine...and received a standing ovation!  In the close-up contest, Michael and Doug Gorman performed their "Duo Cups & Balls" routine...and received a standing ovation!  Not only that...Michael and Doug made the finals (one of only six acts, and one of only two acts from the United States)!!
